Fellowship Trained Cornea Specialist

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in South Carolina, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible, fellowship-trained cornea specialist to join our team of excellent providers who specialize in adult and pediatric eye care.  Our busy, growing department has two locations providing the following specialties: oculoplastics, pediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology, glaucoma, and a partnership with retina. This is a teaching department, training residents and medical students from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.

As a busy cornea specialist, you will be providing much needed care within a large catchment area. You will have the support of residents to help follow patients with you when needed. You will also benefit from working collaboratively with four medical optometrists within the department. Operating room facilities include both urban and suburban locations. Call is covered by residents (both a junior and senior resident) and attending back-up responsibilities include supervising emergency surgeries once every 6 to 7 weekends and about 3 weekdays per month.
